Mysterious Black Window on My Screen: What’s Going On?
Have you ever noticed a peculiar black window on your computer that isn’t the Command Prompt? Recently, I experienced something quite strange and thought I’d share my findings in case anyone else encounters a similar issue.
Initially, I suspected it might be a dead pixel on my display. However, to my surprise, I discovered that I could move this anomaly by dragging it with my mouse. A quick glance at the Task Manager revealed no suspicious applications running, which left me baffled. The window appeared when my cursor hovered over text input fields—somewhat transparent, yet oddly present.

Update on the Situation
Thanks to valuable advice from fellow Redditor u/Slapbox, I decided to dive deeper into the matter. I downloaded Process Explorer and traced the bizarre black window to a feature within the One Dragon Center application. It turned out to be associated with its voice recognition functionality—something I had never anticipated since I generally use Dragon Center solely for customizing my RGB lighting for social media posts!
Following the guidance I received, I uninstalled the application, and a subsequent restart confirmed that the issue was resolved. I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who contributed their insights and support in help ing me navigate this puzzling situation.
