I recently found myself on a call with my Vice President of Global Services, and what was said truly struck a chord. It seems the discussions we often have behind closed doors are now surfacing, and the implications are significant.

The priorities have shifted dramatically. Rather than merely seeking affordable talent to fill open positions, the focus appears to be on sourcing from countries with minimal labor protections. This revelation is concerning, to say the least, and raises questions about the future of workforce morale and well-being.

Such a strategy not only undermines the value of fair labor practices but could also negatively impact the team’s spirit and cohesion. The desire to cut costs at any expense is evident, but at what cost to employee satisfaction and ethical standards?

As I reflect on my career, I feel a sense of relief as I approach my final week at this organization. I am looking forward to embracing new opportunities that align more closely with my values, and I hope to find a workplace that prioritizes both talent and ethical practices.
