Title: Seeking Solutions for a Phone Network Mishap
Let’s face it: we’ve all had moments of technological mishaps that leave us feeling panicked. Recently, I found myself in a rather stressful situation involving my mother’s phone. While experimenting with the settings, I inadvertently altered her network configuration from a multi-option setting (2G/3G/4G (LTE/GSM/CDMA auto with PRL)) to a more restricted one (4G (LTE only)). I didn’t realize that this change would prevent her from making calls.
In my efforts to rectify the situation, I attempted to revert the settings back to the original configuration (4G/3G (LTE/GSM with PRL)). However, every time my mom restarts her phone—particularly when it starts freezing and displaying a black screen at maximum brightness—it resets back to the LTE-only setting, once again disabling her ability to make calls.
Now, I’m in a bit of a bind. Is there a way to stabilize the network settings so that she can continue to use her phone for calls without reverting back to the problematic setting? And ideally, is there a method to permanently set the network to 4G while still maintaining call functionality?
