Seeking Guidance: Selling a Computer for Essentials
As a single mom, every dollar counts, especially when it comes to essential expenses like diapers. Recently, I came into possession of a computer from a friend who graciously allowed me to sell it. However, my knowledge about computers is limited, and I’m unsure of its value.
I received an offer of $20 from someone on Facebook, but I believe I could get more for this device. The original owner confirmed that there is nothing personal stored on the hard drive, and I’m prepared to sell it. My primary goal is to sell it for a price that will help cover the cost of diapers, but I’m hesitant to accept such a low offer since I could simply dispose of it if necessary.
I’m reaching out for advice on how to proceed. What steps can I take to determine the worth of this computer? Should I negotiate with potential buyers, and if so, how can I ensure I’m getting a fair deal? Any tips on how to effectively market it would also be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance as I navigate this process!
