I have been dealing with frustrating microstutters both in games like Final Fantasy XIV and Escape from Tarkov, and despite trying a myriad of troubleshooting steps, the problem remains unresolved. My Rig Overview
To give you an idea of my setup, here are the specifications of my gaming rig:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D (I experienced similar issues with a previous unit of the same model)
- GPU: RTX 5080 (I upgraded from a 4070 Ti, but the stutter issue persists across both cards)
- Motherboard: ASUS B650E-E (previously had an MSI X870 Gaming, which did not resolve the issue)
- Cooler: NZXT Kraken 2024 (operating on stock settings, not utilizing USB/CAM features)
- Power Supply: Corsair RX1000M
- RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 64GB (30-40-40 EXPO; also tried with Corsair Dominator 64GB)
- Keyboard: Wooting 80HE
- Mouse: Hitscan Hyperlight 1kHz

BIOS Adjustments Attempted

- PSS Support: Enabled and disabled
- Power Supply Idle Control: Altered between typical and auto
- Various core settings: Adjusted for other power management and CPU settings
- Hyper-V features: Disabled
- EXPO profile: Tried toggling on and off
- Resizing BAR: Enabled
I also made various timing adjustments for DRAM and experimented with Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) settings.
