I accidentally curbstomped my keyboard to death. Can I fix it?

Can My Broken Keyboard Be Revived? A Quest for Repair

Accidents happen, and they can sometimes lead to unexpected challenges. I recently found myself in a rather unfortunate situation involving my trusty Logitech K360 wireless keyboard. It all began when I attempted to reposition it on my lap, but a momentary lapse in grip sent my keyboard flying through the air, landing with a crash on the floor below.

Upon retrieving it from the depths of my darkened space, I unintentionally stepped on it—adding insult to injury. As I looked at my now-smashed keyboard, a wave of frustration washed over me; it was clear that it wasn’t going to power on. Having nothing to lose, I decided to take matters into my own hands and pop the device open for a closer inspection.

To be honest, I had no idea what I was looking for. Nevertheless, my curiosity drove me to unscrew the back panel and peer inside. After reassembling the keyboard and replacing the batteries, excitement turned to disappointment when I found that it still remained lifeless. The ON/OFF switch was alarmingly loose, sliding between positions without the satisfying “click” it once had. It dawned on me that there might be a loose or broken connection within that was hindering its functionality.

With the possibility of repairing it slim and my patience wearing thin, I’m reaching out to fellow enthusiasts or experts for help. If anyone has experience troubleshooting keyboard issues like mine, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. Specifically, I’m interested in how to check internal connections related to the power switch and potentially identify any other issues.

Furthermore, if you happen to have access to a diagram or image of the keyboard’s motherboard, that could be incredibly helpful as a reference point while I navigate this repair journey.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can share! Here’s hoping my keyboard can be revived or that I can at least learn something in the process.
