Urgent Help Needed: My Computer is Infected with a Trojan
Recently, I faced a frustrating situation that I never expected to encounter: my computer became infected with a trojan virus. It all started two days ago when I accidentally downloaded malicious Software. Initially, I attempted to resolve the issue by removing it with Windows Defender, but my efforts proved futile. Instead of solving the problem, the virus multiplied and spawned approximately 300 additional issues, as revealed by a scan with Malwarebytes.
To further combat the problem, I took the necessary steps of uninstalling and reinstalling my web browsers, as they had become compromised. I also devoted time to identifying and deleting numerous suspicious folders scattered across my hard drive. However, I soon noticed that my laptop was taking an unusually long time to start up, prompting me to investigate further.
Using the Task Manager (the handy tool that displays running programs when you press Ctrl + Alt + Delete), I discovered several unfamiliar programs initiating at boot-up. Among them were Haleng.exe, brutally.exe, enigmatically.exe, and mistook.exe. While Haleng.exe is a widely recognized trojan, the other three are not as well-known, but I strongly suspect they are linked to the infection due to their recent appearance.
Despite having used multiple tools, including Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, and the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool, the infections remain persistent. If anyone has insight into effectively removing these pesky trojans or additional steps I can take, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Thank you in advance for any support or suggestions you can provide!
