Overcoming Pre-Interview Jitters: My Journey to the Cybersecurity Dream Job

Today marks a significant milestone in my career—an interview with my dream company in the cybersecurity field. With just 30 minutes to go, I find myself caught in a whirlwind of excitement and nerves. The pressure is real, but let me take you through what’s been happening lately.

For the past two weeks, I’ve immersed myself in study sessions and practice interviews, often sacrificing personal time after long work hours. The anticipation has been overwhelming; I’m on the verge of both exhilaration and panic. It feels surreal to have made it this far toward a position I’ve long aspired to secure.

Unfortunately, my excitement has to be contained, as I can’t share this news on my usual social media platforms. My current employer happens to know my Twitter handle, which makes it tricky. Instead, I’m seeking a safe space to express my feelings and share the rollercoaster of emotions that come with prepping for such an important opportunity.
