Journey to My Dream Job: The Rollercoaster of Emotions Before an Interview

Today marks a pivotal moment in my professional journey—a job interview with a cybersecurity company that I have long admired. The anticipation is overwhelming, and I find myself grappling with a blend of excitement and anxiety. In just 30 minutes, I will be stepping into the virtual (or physical) space where I could potentially take a significant leap towards my career goals.

For the past two weeks, I’ve immersed myself in extensive study, meticulously reviewing material and preparing for this opportunity—all while balancing long working hours at my current job. As the clock ticks down to the interview, I can’t help but feel a little overwhelmed. My thoughts are racing; I am excited about the incredible possibility this position holds, yet terrified of the high stakes involved.

One of the challenges I face is the need for discretion. I haven’t shared this journey on my usual social media platforms, primarily to keep it under wraps from my current employer, who knows my handle.
