Troubleshooting Guide: My Nvidia 3060 Laptop GPU Has Stopped Working—What Now?

As an IT professional, having a reliable laptop is essential for my work. I recently purchased a used laptop equipped with an Nvidia 3060 notebook GPU, which performed perfectly for the first two weeks. Unfortunately, I encountered an issue a couple of days ago when the GPU suddenly ceased functioning. Now, I’m reaching out for help, as I’m quite stumped.

I’ve already undertaken several troubleshooting steps, including:

  1. Reinstalling Drivers: I attempted to update the GPU drivers and even roll back to previous versions.

  2. BIOS and Windows Updates: I explored BIOS updates, including reverting changes, and I performed both Windows updates and rollbacks.

  3. Fresh Windows Installation: I went as far as reinstalling Windows, which was another avenue to resolve the issue, but to no avail.

Despite the graphics card appearing in the device manager without any errors, it remains unrecognized by various applications.
