I’m Believing My Windows 10 Laptop Has a Virus but Can’t Pinpoint It

Title: Troubleshooting Hidden Viruses on Your Windows 10 Laptop

If you’ve noticed that your Windows 10 laptop is running hotter than normal and your disk space is rapidly dwindling, you might be facing an undetected virus or some other system issue. For the past month, I’ve encountered a perplexing situation: my laptop’s performance has significantly declined, and I’m losing approximately 2 GB of disk space every day. Curiously, I haven’t installed any new applications or downloaded anything that could be considered suspicious.

To address this issue, I’ve conducted multiple thorough system scans. I’ve utilized Malwarebytes twice for complete system checks and also performed a full scan with Windows Defender. Despite these proactive measures, no threats have been identified. I even attempted to run a scan in safe mode, but I discovered that Windows Defender does not operate in this mode.

Given this frustrating predicament, I am seeking guidance on the next steps to effectively troubleshoot this potential virus. If you’ve experienced similar issues or possess insight into advanced scanning techniques, your recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
