Urgent Help Needed: Amazon Account Compromised for Over Three Weeks

If you’re reading this, chances are you or someone you know has faced the frustration of an online account being hacked. For the past three weeks, my Amazon account has been a target for unauthorized access, and I’m at my wit’s end trying to resolve the issue.

It all started when I noticed unfamiliar debit and credit cards being linked to my account, as well as shipping addresses that certainly weren’t mine. In a terrifying twist, I began receiving items ordered on these cards, all delivered to my home. The thought of someone else using my account has been incredibly distressing.

Despite taking every precaution I could think of—making over five phone calls to Amazon support, locking my account twice, changing my password multiple times, and enabling two-factor authentication for both my Amazon account and the associated email—I still find myself in the same vulnerable position. I even took the extra step of deauthorizing every device linked to my account, yet the problem persists.

I suspect this could be a brushing scam, whereby a company sends products to random addresses to boost their sales numbers and fake positive reviews. However, I’m still unclear about the full extent of what’s occurring.

Amazon claims they have “sanitized” my account, but I see no evidence that anything has improved. I genuinely want to avoid closing my account if at all possible, as I’ve built years of order history and accumulated benefits from using the platform for important life events, like my children’s baby registries.
