Troubleshooting Boot Issues After SSD Installation: What Went Wrong?
Recently, I upgraded my system by adding a new SSD and installing a fresh operating system. Initially, everything operated smoothly for three days. However, I encountered an unexpected hurdle when my computer failed to boot, displaying the error, “required device not found.”
Upon attempting various recovery modes without success, I decided to delve deeper using Command Prompt from a bootable USB. My exploration with the diskpart utility revealed an unexpected situation: although the SSD showed as online, its partitions were offline, despite remaining in a healthy state. This left me puzzled about how such a disconnect could occur.
Faced with urgency and minimal data risk, my last resort was to wipe the SSD clean, convert it to GPT formatted disk, and reinstall Windows. This leads me to seek answers: why did this issue arise, and how can I prevent it from happening again in the future?

For context, my device is a Dell G3 3579, and the SSD used is a WD NVMe M.2 model. While working through the logistics of this issue, I noted that the partitions on the SSD were present but simply inactive.
