Just got a company-issued computer and noticed strange installers upon the initial startup—what are they? Google didn’t help, should I worry?

Strange Installers on My New Work Laptop: Should I Be Worried?

Hello everyone,

I recently received a new Lenovo E490 laptop from my company, which runs on Windows 10. As part of the setup process, all the data from my previous device was transferred over, including applications and potentially even malware.

After I configured my Outlook account and restarted the laptop, I encountered some unusual installation windows upon logging in. Despite my attempts to research these strange terms—most notably “petiolule” and “ichor”—I couldn’t find any information online. It seems Google doesn’t have any answers for these specific installers.

This situation has left me feeling a bit uneasy. Given the possibility of malware from my previous computer migrating to this new one, I’m wondering if I should be worried about these strange pop-ups.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
