Troubleshooting My Computer’s Quirky Behavior: Seeking Help!

Lately, I’ve been experiencing some unusual and frustrating issues with my computer, so I thought it would be a good idea to share my story and seek some advice from fellow tech enthusiasts.

The Backstory

About three years ago, my computer was in need of repairs due to receiving a faulty component from an unreliable source. After it was fixed and the correct part was installed, I noticed a few quirks. One of the most persistent messages I encountered was the dreaded “CPU fan error,” despite the fan operating normally and the CPU temperature staying within a safe range. In hindsight, I should have reached out to the repair shop for guidance, but I opted to navigate the challenges on my own.

Eventually, I discovered that the issue was linked to a malfunctioning SSD, which I replaced. This restored my machine to a relatively normal state—until the next set of problems began to emerge.

The Current Dilemma

Now, I’m faced with a perplexing situation. At times, when I press the power button, my computer powers on as expected, while at other times, it refuses to boot up. When it doesn’t start, the power button lights up, and the power supply seems to be functioning, but there’s no response from the keyboard, mouse, or display.

The inconsistency is maddening; occasionally, I need to go through a tedious routine of turning the computer off and on multiple times, switching the power plugs, and even opening the case to ensure all connections are secure. Each time I look inside, everything appears to be in order.

Despite these startup issues, the computer itself functions normally once it manages to boot up. However, there are still some quirks—like when I switch the HDMI connection from my monitor to my TV; the entire system sometimes restarts. Additionally, if the computer is bumped, even lightly, it might shut off unexpectedly, which is incredibly frustrating.
