Lenovo laptop charging problem

Troubleshooting Lenovo Laptop Charging Issues: Seeking Guidance

Hello, fellow tech enthusiasts!

I hope you can lend a hand as I navigate a frustrating situation with my Lenovo laptop. My usage of the device is sporadic; there are times when I won’t even open it for a week or two. Recently, I discovered that it had completely drained of power. When I attempted to charge it, I noticed that the USB port flashed orange momentarily—a signal that it recognized the charger—only to go dark again almost immediately. Unfortunately, the screen remained unresponsive, and charging efforts were futile. I even invested in a new charging cable, but that didn’t resolve the issue.

To get professional assistance, I brought my laptop to a repair shop, specifically a chain known as uBreakiFix. They too struggled to get the device to charge on-site, so it was sent off for motherboard repairs. After about three weeks of diagnostics and attempts to pinpoint the problem, they concluded that one of the USB ports was malfunctioning, and they carried out the necessary repairs.

While the tech team reported that the laptop was functioning normally upon my pickup—including charging successfully at home—my relief was short-lived. After taking it on a recent trip, I returned home to find the laptop dead once again, exhibiting the same troubling symptoms as before.

At this point, I’m feeling quite exasperated. Before I reach out to the repair service again, I wanted to tap into this community for any insights or potential solutions that you might recommend for this ongoing issue.

Thank you in advance for your support!
