May have fried my laptop

Title: Troubleshooting a Potential Laptop Malfunction: My Lenovo Yoga 9i Experience

This morning began like any other, but it quickly took a turn when my Lenovo Yoga 9i suddenly powered down without warning. Initially, I suspected that the battery simply needed a recharge. However, I soon discovered that the situation was more complicated than it first appeared.

Upon attempting to connect my laptop to its charger, I noticed that the power adapter had some exposed wiring. Unfortunately, I didn’t think to be cautious at that moment. When I plugged it in, a small spark erupted, prompting me to immediately disconnect the charger out of concern.

Regrettably, since that incident, my laptop has refused to power back on, even when I tried using a different charger. While the charging indicator lights up when connected to one of the USB-C ports, the other port does not respond at all. I did observe that the power button lights briefly upon being pressed, creating a glimmer of hope that the device might turn on, only for it to shut down again moments later.

Given the circumstances, I plan to visit Best Buy first thing in the morning for a professional evaluation. In the meantime, I’m reaching out to see if anyone in this community has experienced similar issues or has any insights into what might be happening with my device.

If you have any suggestions or advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Here’s hoping I can get my laptop back up and running soon!
