It’s disheartening to realize that someone has gained unauthorized access to your Amazon account, and for an alarming three weeks, this situation has persisted. I recently found myself in this unfortunate predicament, grappling with the repercussions while trying to reclaim my account from the grips of a potential fraud scenario.

Over these last weeks, I have observed unauthorized activity that raises suspicion of a brushing scam. Suddenly, I noticed unfamiliar debit and credit cards being linked to my account, along with strange shipping addresses being added. To make matters worse, various items were being ordered on these unknown cards and were sent directly to my home. This series of events has turned into a troubling experience, and I feel a strong sense of urgency to resolve the situation quickly.

Despite my efforts to rectify the issue, including reaching out to Amazon five times and having my account locked twice, the unauthorized access continues unabated. In a bid to secure my information, I’ve changed my password over ten times and activated two-factor authentication (2FA) not just for my Amazon account but also for the email associated with it. Additionally, I made sure to deauthorize every device that was previously signed into my account.

Each time I contact Amazon, their team insists that they have “sanitized” my account, yet the issues remain unresolved. It’s frustrating to hear assurances without seeing any tangible results.
