My Account Was Hacked for More Than Three Weeks, and Amazon Still Hasn’t Helped Remove the Intruder — My Post Was Deleted from r/Amazon, and I Don’t Know What Else to Do

My Amazon Account Was Hacked: A Frustrating Fight Against Unauthorized Orders

It’s been a relentless three weeks since I discovered that my Amazon account had been compromised. Despite my efforts to resolve the situation, I still find myself in a troubling predicament, with unauthorized orders being placed left and right.

Initially, I suspected I was the victim of a brushing scam, but as the days went by, I became increasingly uncertain. My account has been plagued with several issues: unfamiliar debit and credit cards are being added without my consent, shipping addresses that aren’t mine appear frequently, and numerous orders have been charged to cards I did not authorize, all being sent to my home.

The situation has grown alarmingly unsettling, leading me to make more than five calls to Amazon’s customer service. Each time, I requested assistance in securing my account, which was locked twice during this turmoil. I tried every recommended measure: I have changed my password over ten times, activated two-factor authentication (2FA) not only on my Amazon account but also on the linked email account, and deauthorized every device that had access to my account.

Despite these precautions, and repeated reassurances from Amazon that my account has been “sanitized,” I am still facing issues. It’s disheartening to see that nothing has truly been resolved. What’s more, I’m hesitant to simply close my account, as I have built up years of order history and valuable perks, including benefits from baby registries for my children.

If anyone has experienced a similar situation or has insights into further steps I could take, I would greatly appreciate your advice. It’s a frustrating battle, and I’m eager to regain control of my account for good.
