Troubleshooting a Persistent Glitch: My Computer’s Copy-Paste Nightmare
Have you ever experienced an issue with your computer that left you feeling utterly helpless? I recently found myself in just that situation, grappling with a glitch that caused my computer to continuously copy text and files without any input from me. Here’s how it all unfolded and what I discovered along the way.
The Beginning of the Trouble
It all started yesterday when I noticed my computer was behaving unusually. Files and text would copy themselves seemingly at random, making it impossible to use my device effectively. After an initial restart, everything appeared normal for a few minutes, only for the glitch to return with a vengeance. Despite multiple restarts and even uninstalling the driver, the relentless copying persisted. Out of sheer desperation, I reached out to the community for help.
In my attempts to diagnose the problem, I unplugged my keyboard and utilized a different one, ruling out the keyboard itself as the cause.
A Possible Culprit: Radiant Viewer
As I pondered over the events leading to my computer’s sudden malfunction, I recalled that I had downloaded Radiant Viewer—a medical imaging software—just before the issues began. I had also uploaded some DICOM files from a USB drive provided by my professor. Little did I know, this might be where the trouble originated.
To add to my frustration, I found that my laptop—which I used to download the same software and files—started exhibiting identical issues. It felt like a bizarre chain reaction.
Documenting the Chaos
In an effort to convey the severity of my plight, I recorded a few videos showcasing the glitch in action. You can check them out below for a glimpse of my chaos:

Identifying the Source
After some experimentation, I concluded that the USB drive was likely the instigator of my computer’s malfunction. Following a complete reset and a formatting of my disk, my system operated smoothly—until I reinserted the USB drive, at which point the issue reemerged.
