Troubleshooting My Internet Woes: A Call for Solutions
Dealing with internet connectivity issues can be a frustrating experience, and my recent saga with my ISP has been no exception. After experiencing persistent disconnections, high latency when pinging any server, and significant packet loss, I found myself reaching out to technical support on six separate occasions.
Unfortunately, my concerns were met with confusion. When I mentioned packet loss, the representative responded with, “What’s packet loss?” It was disheartening to know that the person I turned to for help was unfamiliar with a fundamental issue impacting my service.
My current setup involves a Huawei HG532E modem, and I have been struggling with a scenario where both the Internet and ADSL lights would frequently shut off, leading to disconnections every 2-5 minutes. Despite efforts to diagnose the problem, including switching to G.dmt modulation, the situation only seemed to worsen, exacerbating my internet outages.
To compound matters, I attempted to minimize latency by ensuring there was no interference between my PC and the modem, yet I still faced ongoing issues. All modulation types provided little relief, and the instability has been incredibly frustrating.
I was assured that I would receive a callback from level 2 tech support within two days. Regrettably, two weeks have passed without any follow-up, and each time I inquire, I’m merely told to wait a little longer. This drawn-out process has left me exasperated and in need of any assistance or advice from fellow users who may have navigated similar situations.
If you have any suggestions or solutions to remedy ongoing internet challenges, I would be incredibly grateful for your insights. Your input could make a significant difference in overcoming these continuous connectivity hurdles. Thank you for your support!
