Seeking Assistance: Suspected Virus Infection on My Laptop
Experiencing Unexpected Computer Behavior and Seeking Expert Advice
Recently, I encountered some unusual issues with my laptop that have left me concerned about potential malware or virus infections. I wanted to share the details and seek guidance from the community.
The Situation:
– Upon turning on my laptop, I was greeted with a blank screen, despite being able to log in.
– The usual homepage did not load.
– Several pop-up notifications, including notifications from applications like Discord, appeared spontaneously and opened without my input.
– I managed to access the Task Manager using Ctrl + Alt + Del, but beyond that, Iām not confident in identifying or resolving the problem.
Recent Developments:
– While writing this post, the blank screen unexpectedly disappeared.
– However, I now face new issues: I am unable to access my taskbar.
– Pressing the Windows key opens the Start menu, but since my taskbar is set to be hidden unless the mouse hovers over its area, I cannot open it directly with the mouse.
