Passed the Comptia Security+ Certification Exam on my first go… Don’t be afraid.

Achieving Success with the CompTIA Security+ Certification: My First Attempt Journey

I’m thrilled to share that I successfully passed the CompTIA Security+ Certification Exam on my first try! If you’re feeling anxious about your preparation, I want to assure you — it’s completely normal, but there’s no need to be intimidated.

When I first approached the exam, I expected it to be extremely challenging. While it certainly had its moments, I found it to be less difficult than I had imagined. There were definitely a few questions that could have been clearer, but overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience — especially when it came to the simulation questions.

Initially, I was worried that the simulations would require extensive memorization of commands. To my relief, they turned out to be more straightforward, resembling matching questions or utilizing drop-down menus rather than the complex tasks I had anticipated.

My hesitation to take the exam stemmed from my fear of these simulations, which led me to believe I needed more practice than necessary. In reality, I had prepared adequately and had just let my nerves get the best of me.

Here’s my top tip: after wrapping up your study sessions, make sure to take practice exams and aim for consistent passing scores. If you encounter questions that stump you, don’t hesitate to skip them initially — mark them for review. Sometimes, another question can trigger your memory, helping you tackle the ones you were uncertain about. This strategy can save you time and boost your confidence during the examination.

I’d also like to express my gratitude to the generous members of the Reddit community who share valuable insights, resources, and advice. Your support has been invaluable throughout my journey into the world of cybersecurity.

Wishing you all the best in your certification pursuits!

P.S. Thank you for the amazing support and recognition from everyone! I couldn’t have achieved this milestone without the encouragement of this fantastic community.
