The Mystery of 1440p and Frame Rate Limitations in PC Gaming

As an avid PC gamer, I’ve encountered a perplexing issue that raises more questions than answers regarding resolution and frame rate options. It appears that despite the technical capabilities of modern hardware, many PC games do not allow an impressive 1440p resolution to run beyond 24 frames per second (FPS).

When gaming at 1080p, a full range of frame rate selections is open to me, from the slow 24 FPS to the high-speed 120 FPS.
