Title: Diagnosing Unusual Laptop Behavior: Could It Be a Virus or Background Process?
As technology continues to play an integral role in our daily lives, encountering performance issues or unusual activity on our devices can be concerning. Recently, I found myself grappling with some unsettling behaviors from my laptop that I believe warrant attention.
Firstly, I observed that my laptop’s fans tend to ramp up significantly, and the CPU shows elevated temperatures and usage, even when the screen is turned off. Additionally, I noticed some substantial spikes during my review of the Task Manager, which only heightened my concerns.
In an attempt to address these issues, I ran comprehensive scans using several reputable security programs, including Malwarebytes, Hitman Pro, and ESET’s online scanner. Surprisingly, none of these tools flagged any threats. Just to be thorough, I even performed a complete reset of my computer after wiping all data, yet the unsettling symptoms persist.
This leads me to question whether the anomalies I’m experiencing could be caused by a virus, or if they might stem from a background process within Windows that becomes active during idle moments.
I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice from fellow tech enthusiasts who may have encountered similar issues. Your expertise could be invaluable in helping me navigate this perplexing situation. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
