Help Needed: Protecting Against Phone Number Spoofing in Our Family
Today, I encountered a troubling situation involving my family’s phone numbers that left me feeling uneasy and concerned. This morning, I received a call from my sister’s number, but upon answering, there was complete silence on the other end. Confused by the lack of communication, I hung up and reached out to her directly. To my surprise, she informed me that she hadn’t called me at all. This unexpected revelation raised immediate alarm bells.
After sharing this incident with my father, I learned that he had recently experienced a similar occurrence, though it involved my mother’s number.
