It’s not every day that a pet becomes the unexpected culprit behind technological malfunctions, but that’s precisely what happened to me today. My feline companion, seemingly innocuous, has managed to render my computer unresponsive on five separate occasions merely by strolling past it. The result? My monitors flicker and fade, one by one, leading to a frustrating halt in my work.
At first, I was bewildered. How could my cat’s presence—without any direct contact—cause such disturbances? After some research, it appears that static electricity could be the culprit. This phenomenon occurs when there’s a build-up of electric charge, which can indeed cause problems with sensitive electronics.
