Understanding and Troubleshooting TrojanDownloader:HTML/Adodb.gen!A in Discord Cache
Recently, I encountered a concerning issue with my computer that I believe many users may experience: detection of the TrojanDownloader:HTML/Adodb.gen!A by Windows Defender. The problem arose when I noticed the threat while scanning my system. Windows Defender flagged the malware twice, each time within different Discord cache files.
Initially, I followed the recommended steps to quarantine the infected files, assuming that this action would entirely eliminate the threat. However, after some hesitation and worry, I restarted my computer, ran another series of scans, and to my dismay, the Trojan was detected once more, now in two additional Discord cache files.
At this point, I’m uncertain about the next steps to take. Should I attempt to remove these files again, or is it possible that I have inadvertently re-enabled the malware? The situation has left me feeling a bit anxious about the safety of my computer system.
For those who have encountered similar issues or have expertise in resolving such threats, I would sincerely appreciate your guidance. What would be the best course of action to ensure my computer is free from this Trojan and to prevent future occurrences? If you need further information to assist me better, I’m more than willing to share additional details in the comments.
Thank you for your support!
