Tackling TrojanDownloader:HTML/Adodb.gen!A – Guidance on a Discord Cache Threat
Recently, I encountered a persistent issue with malware flagged as TrojanDownloader:HTML/Adodb.gen!A by Windows Defender. This malware has raised significant concerns for me, as it was detected in multiple Discord cache files.
Initially, I noticed the threat when Windows Defender quarantined the first two instances of the malicious files. In my effort to resolve the situation, I opted to click the ‘remove’ option, hoping that this would effectively eliminate the threat. However, I’m beginning to wonder if I inadvertently allowed the malware to re-enter my system instead.
Fast forward to today, I approached my computer with caution, having been anxious about booting it up. After running additional scans, I discovered that the Trojan had resurfaced in two more Discord cache files, which have once again been quarantined.
