Uncovering a Mysterious Firewall Exception: “No Connection”
While navigating the intricacies of my firewall settings recently, I stumbled upon an unexpected entry: a firewall exception labeled “No Fucking Connection.” Intrigued, I decided to investigate further. This peculiar finding emerged while I was attempting to add a new exception for GOG Galaxy, aiming to enhance my download speeds, which frustratingly had stagnated at a mere 1 Mbps. Surprisingly, my efforts did yield positive results in terms of speed, but the existence of this odd exception left me scratching my head.
Upon delving deeper and clicking on the details of this entry, I found no accompanying description, making it even more enigmatic. I don’t recall ever creating such an exception, nor can I pinpoint which application or game it might be associated with.
This puzzling experience has led me to wonder: has anyone else come across this strange firewall exception? If so, is there a method to trace its origin or discern which software it relates to?
For those curious, I’ve included a screenshot of the firewall exception for reference. View Screenshot Here. Any insights or experiences shared would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this firewall enigma!
