Unusual Firewall Exception: “No Connection”
While setting up firewall exceptions for GOG Galaxy in an attempt to enhance my download speeds— which were frustratingly stuck at a mere 1 Mbps—I stumbled upon an unusual entry labeled “No Fucking Connection.”
Initially, I was relieved to see that my download speeds improved after allowing the necessary exceptions, but the bizarre naming of this particular entry has left me puzzled. Upon diving deeper into the details of the exception, I discovered that there was no accompanying description, leaving me to wonder about its origins.
I cannot recall creating this exception myself, nor can I identify any specific game or application that might be associated with it. This raises the question: has anyone else run into a similar situation? Is there a way to trace which program or process this peculiar firewall rule is linked to?
For reference, I’ve included a screenshot of the exception here: Screenshot of the Firewall Exception. I would greatly appreciate any insights or tips from the community on how to investigate this further!
