USB Webcam suddenly not detected

Troubleshooting a USB Webcam Detection Issue in Windows 11

Hello, fellow tech enthusiasts,

I hope this post finds you well! Today, I’m reaching out for some assistance regarding an unexpected issue I encountered with my USB webcam.

The Situation

This morning, I discovered that my Anker C200 USB webcam and microphone were not being recognized by my computer. I’m currently running Windows 11, and despite my best efforts, the camera simply does not appear in the device manager, nor does it produce the familiar sound notifications that indicate a device has been connected.

To troubleshoot the issue, I’ve experimented with several different USB cables, yet the webcam remains undetected. Interestingly, I’ve plugged it into my laptop, which operates on Windows 10, and the webcam works flawlessly.

My Attempts at Fixing the Problem

In my quest for a solution, I’ve taken a couple of key steps:
– Updated Windows to the latest version
– Ensured all relevant drivers are current

Despite this, I’m still facing the same frustrating problem. Normally, I’m able to resolve most tech glitches, but this one has proven particularly tricky.

Call for Suggestions

If you have any insights or suggestions on how to resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you for taking the time to read my post, and I look forward to any tips you might have!

Best regards,
