Exciting News: My First Internship Contract in Cybersecurity!
I am thrilled to share some incredible news: I have officially secured my first internship contract! This opportunity has been made possible thanks to the invaluable advice I received from the wonderful community over at r/cybersecurity.
As I prepare to begin this journey, I’ll be signing the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and my internship contract right as my summer break kicks off in about three weeks. I am particularly excited to be working on a web application project alongside a QA intern, which I believe will provide me with substantial hands-on experience in the field.
This internship will span three months, and if I prove my skills and dedication, there’s a promising path toward a part-time contract with compensation coming my way.
I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took the time to respond to my original post. Your encouragement and insights have been incredibly helpful, and I truly appreciate the support from this community.
A special thanks to everyone who has congratulated me and sent kind messages; your words mean a lot to me!
Here’s to new beginnings and exciting challenges ahead! <3

Congratulations on securing your internship contract in cybersecurity! That’s a fantastic accomplishment and a great stepping stone for your career. If you’re working with a web application project and are concerned about security, I recommend reviewing best practices such as input validation, secure authentication, and proper error handling to ensure your application remains resilient against common vulnerabilities.
Additionally, consider leveraging tools like static code analyzers or vulnerability scanners during your development process to identify potential security issues early. If you’re using a specific tech stack, feel free to share more details, and I can provide tailored guidance. Wishing you the best of luck with your internship and future projects!
