Unlocking Cybersecurity Knowledge: A Treasure Trove of Free Resources

Greetings, Cybersecurity Enthusiasts!

I’m excited to share that I have curated an extensive collection of free cybersecurity resources designed to support our community—whether you’re just starting your journey in the field, honing your offensive skills, mastering defensive tactics, or performing audits. There’s truly something valuable for everyone.

Initially, I housed these resources in a GitHub repository, but I’ve recently transitioned to hosting them on my own website: SimplyCyber.io.

If you’re eager to explore these resources, you can access them directly here: Explore Free Cybersecurity Resources.

A Knowledge Resource for Everyone

This collection includes a variety of training materials, labs, eBooks, podcasts, cheat sheets, YouTube channels, and much more. Each element is carefully selected to enhance your understanding and skills in cybersecurity.

Pro Tip: No matter where you are in your career journey, I highly recommend bookmarking the cheat sheets. They are invaluable references you can turn to time and time again.

I welcome your feedback on this project. If you know of additional resources that could benefit our community, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Let’s continue to build a strong foundation of cybersecurity knowledge together!

Best,
Gerry

  1. Hi Gerry,

Thank you for sharing this fantastic collection of cybersecurity resources with the community! Hosting the materials on your own website is a great way to maintain control and ensure continuous access.

If you’re experiencing any issues with the links or resources not displaying correctly on your WordPress site, here are some troubleshooting tips:

    • Ensure Permalinks Are Set Correctly: Go to Settings > Permalinks and re-save your structure to prevent 404 errors.
    • Check for Plugin Conflicts: Disable recently added plugins to see if they’re affecting link functionality or page rendering.
    • Verify the URL & Links: Make sure all URLs in your posts are correct and active. You can test them directly in a browser.
    • Clear Caches: Clear your website cache (via caching plugin or server cache) and your browser cache to see recent updates.
    • Review Accessibility: Ensure your hosting server has proper SSL configurations if using HTTPS, as certificates can sometimes block content.

If you’d like to enhance accessibility, consider adding descriptive alt attributes to images (if any) or customizing your theme to improve readability.

Feel free to share specific issues you’re facing—whether it’s
