I recently embarked on a project involving my ASUS ROG Strix G713 laptop — specifically, I decided to replace the keyboard. After successfully reassembling the device, everything seemed to be functioning properly. However, I was left with a peculiar piece that I could not identify.

The component in question measures approximately 1.5 inches by 4 inches and has perplexed me since its removal during the keyboard swap. I’ve examined it closely, capturing images from both the front and back, yet I’m still in the dark about its purpose.
