Rediscovering Nostalgia: The Sharp PC-7000

While tidying up the shed, I stumbled upon a fascinating piece of my family’s history: my dad’s old portable computer, the Sharp PC-7000. This relic from the past not only stirred up memories but also sparked a wave of curiosity about the evolution of technology.

I couldn’t resist snapping a quick photo of the device resting on my lap. Although it currently resides in the shed—its designated home due to a less-than-welcome spider population—I was pleasantly surprised to see it power up when plugged in. Remarkably, we still have floppy disks for it!

The Sharp PC-7000 truly embodies what was considered cutting-edge technology in its time. I can easily imagine my dad carrying it to his classes, proudly showcasing the advancements of the era.
