Uncovering Vintage Technology: My Dad’s Sharp PC-7000

During a recent tidy-up of our shed, I stumbled across a hidden gem from the past—my father’s Sharp PC-7000, an early example of portable computing. With nostalgia flooding my mind, I captured a quick snapshot of it resting on my lap.

Due to its age and proximity to spiders, it usually resides in the shed, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it power up after being plugged in. Remarkably, we still have floppy disks that once held files for this relic!

Reflecting on its history, it’s easy to appreciate how advanced this device was for its time.
