Understanding RAM Usage: Troubleshooting Low Recognition Issues

Recently, I encountered a perplexing situation where my system recognized only 8 GB of RAM, despite the fact that my machine displays a total of 15.5 GB as usable out of 16 GB. Upon examining my Task Manager, I noticed a strange inconsistency: my RAM usage showed that 3.4 GB was equal to 39% of my total memory. This raised a red flag for me; it didn’t seem plausible for such a relatively low amount of RAM to account for that percentage of memory.
