Troubleshooting Low PC Performance: Seeking Guidance
It can be incredibly frustrating when your personal computer doesn’t perform up to expectations, especially when you know it has the potential to do so. My PC’s performance scores were significantly lower than anticipated, and I’m at a loss about the reasons behind it.
After running the UserBenchmark tests, my results were as follows:
- Gaming Performance: 35%
- Desktop Performance: 26%
- Workload Performance: 33%
You can check the detailed performance breakdown from my test here.
Here’s a summary of my hardware components and their individual bench scores:
| Component | Model | Benchmark Percentage |
|—————|———–|————————–|
| CPU | Intel Core i7-8700 | 21.1% |
| GPU | Nvidia GTX 1070 | 70.3% |
| SSD | SK hynix SC311 SATA 128GB | 42% |
| HDD | Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB | 100.1% |
| RAM | Unknown 8ATF1G64AZ-2G6H1 2x8GB | 46.7% |
| Motherboard | Alienware Aurora R7 | – |
As you can see, the disparity in performance levels across various components is concerning. While my graphics card is performing reasonably well at 70.3%, my CPU
