Seeking Solutions: My PC Crashes During Gaming

I’m reaching out for assistance with a perplexing issue that has been plaguing my gaming experience. My computer has been consistently crashing while I’m enjoying various games, and it’s become quite frustrating. Allow me to provide some background.

Initially, I had 8 GB of RAM installed, but I recently removed one 4 GB stick due to detection problems—it turned out to be faulty. My troubles began in late 2019 or early 2020 while playing Overwatch. I would start my PC, load the game, and it would crash the moment it attempted to render a 3D model. At first, I thought the problem was linked to 3D model rendering, so I tested it with Aim Hero, a 3D aim trainer, and everything worked without a hitch. This led me to believe that the issue wasn’t related to rendering capabilities after all.

Since then, I’ve taken several troubleshooting steps, such as updating my Radeon graphics drivers and even attempting a full uninstall and reinstall of the software—handled by a friend, as I’m not entirely savvy on specifics. Despite these efforts, the problem persists; when the PC crashes, I must completely disconnect the power supply for about 5-10 seconds before I can turn it back on.

Most recently, I purchased Persona 4 Golden on Steam, only to have my system shut down once again during gameplay. Given that I’m about to move out next month (proud Class of 2020!), money is tight, which means I can’t afford to take it to a repair shop just yet. I’m desperate for any advice or solutions that could resolve this issue. Here are the specifications of my system:

• Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (latest drivers updated on the 10th)
