Seeking Assistance for LG StandbyMe Monitor Replacement

Hello, fellow tech enthusiasts!

I’m reaching out to the community today because I’ve encountered a bit of a setback with my LG StandbyMe monitor. Unfortunately, the screen is cracked, and I’m on the hunt for a replacement monitor assembly. The unit utilizes a 51 pin LVDS cable, and I would greatly appreciate any recommendations on where to find a suitable replacement.

Fortunately, everything else on the monitor is functioning beautifully, and I’m eager to salvage it with a new screen. If anyone has leads on where to source a similar monitor—or even one that offers a slightly larger display—I would be incredibly grateful!

Attached is a snapshot for reference. If you have any tips or insights, please share! Your help could make a world of difference.

    Hi there,

Replacing a cracked screen on a LG StandbyMe monitor can be a bit challenging, especially considering the specific 51-pin LVDS connector. Here are some steps and tips that might help you source a suitable replacement:

    • Identify the exact model number of your monitor. This information is usually located on the back or bottom of the unit. Knowing the precise model can help when searching for compatible replacement screens.
    • Locate a compatible replacement panel. Websites like AliExpress, eBay, and specialized parts suppliers like MTKSC often sell LCD panels with detailed specifications, including connector types and pin counts.
    • Verify the connector orientation and pinout before purchasing the replacement. Since your monitor uses a 51-pin LVDS cable, confirm that the replacement panel supports the same LV
