HELP!!! Samsung HD204UI makes short buzzing noise a couple times then stops working when powered on

Urgent Help Needed: Troubleshooting a Samsung HD204UI Hard Drive After Accidentally Dropping It

If you’ve ever faced the panic of losing access to important data, you can likely empathize with my current predicament. Recently, while reassembling my HDD enclosure, I accidentally dropped my Samsung HD204UI hard drive. This seemingly minor mishap has led to a series of distressing events, and now I find myself in urgent need of assistance.

Upon powering on the drive after the fall, it emitted a troubling buzzing noise that occurred a couple of times before it briefly paused. This pattern repeated itself, leading me to think something might be seriously wrong. Today, I attempted to place the hard drive into a docking station in hopes of reviving it, but the buzzing continued and ultimately resulted in the drive shutting off entirely. I’ve attached a video documenting this unsettling situation for reference.

This particular hard drive holds crucial backups for my iMac, particularly as I’ve just installed macOS Monterey and urgently require access to these files for restoration. I decided to boot from a Monterey installer USB and use Disk Utility for diagnosis, but unfortunately, the computer failed to recognize the drive (as shown in the attached screenshot).

While taking the hard drive to a professional Data Recovery service is an option, I hesitate due to the steep costs involved. Therefore, I’m reaching out to the community to see if anyone has experience with at-home methods for reviving a malfunctioning hard drive. Any guidance, tips, or solutions would be greatly appreciated, as I’m desperate to retrieve my backups and restore my files on my iMac!
