Optimizing Multi-Screen Setup: Accessing Your Mini Screen from Any Display

Hello everyone,

I hope this post finds you well! I’m reaching out to the community in hopes of some guidance with a new addition to my workspace. Recently, I purchased a compact monitor that I positioned beneath my existing screens. I’ve configured it using the display settings, but I’m seeking a solution that would allow me to seamlessly access this mini screen by simply moving my mouse down from any of my primary displays.

To illustrate my setup further, I’ve included a visual representation here: View Image.

If anyone has experience with this type of arrangement or knows how to achieve this functionality, your insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

  1. Hello!

It sounds like you’re looking to create a seamless multi-monitor setup that allows you to access your mini monitor from any primary screen just by moving your mouse cursor downward. This is typically achieved by configuring your display arrangement within your operating system settings, combined with features like “extend” mode and possibly third-party software.

Here are a few suggestions that might help:

    • Arrange Your Displays Properly: In Windows, you can go to Display Settings and drag the monitor icons to represent their physical positions accurately. Placing your mini monitor directly below the main screens will allow your mouse to move naturally between them.
    • Use “Extend” Display Mode: Make sure your displays are set to “Extend” rather than “Duplicate.” This enables you to move the mouse freely between screens.
    • Set the Mini Monitor as an Additional Display: Once properly arranged, your mini monitor should be accessible from all primary screens by moving the cursor downward—assuming the position is set correctly.
    • Third-Party Tools: If native OS options don’t fully meet your needs, tools like DisplayFusion or Actual Multiple Monitors can offer enhanced multi-monitor management, including custom hotkeys and specific cursor movements.

    Here’s a quick guide
