Unraveling the Mystery of Odd Robocalls: What’s Behind the Numbers?

Lately, I’ve been inundated with peculiar robocalls—approximately every twenty minutes—featuring a disembodied, text-to-speech voice methodically reading out a series of numbers. After the initial countdown, the voice states, “and I repeat,” recites the same numbers once more, adds a polite “thank you,” and promptly hangs up.

I’m at a loss to comprehend the purpose of these strange calls. Has anyone else experienced this type of robocall? What could be the reasoning behind such a bizarre pattern? Any insights or experiences you could share would be greatly appreciated!
