Troubleshooting a Dead Laptop: Seeking Assistance for My Dell Precision 7730

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m in need of some guidance regarding my Dell Precision 7730 mobile workstation, which I acquired second-hand about five months ago. Unfortunately, the laptop has inexplicably stopped powering on just a few days ago.

When I purchased it, I had the option of a warranty through the seller. However, the only way to utilize it is by wiping the laptop clean, and that is not feasible for me right now due to critical files that I need to protect.

In an effort to resolve the issue, I purchased a new charger, thinking that might be the culprit. Regrettably, the laptop still refuses to turn on. I suspect a possible battery issue, but I have hit a roadblock. I attempted the common reset method—removing the battery and holding down the power button for 30 seconds—but that didn’t yield any results. Furthermore, despite loosening the screws to disconnect the battery, it seems to be stuck in place. I’m hesitant to force it out, fearing I might cause additional damage.

I’m reaching out to this community in hopes of some expert advice or troubleshooting tips. With university deadlines looming, I’m anxious not to lose any important data. Any assistance or insights you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
