Battling the Blue Screen of Death: My Ongoing Struggle

Hello, fellow tech enthusiasts!

I hope this message finds you well. Iโ€™m reaching out today to share my frustrating journey with persistent blue screen errors on my PC. Over the past few weeks, I have been plagued by random blue screen crashes, and despite numerous attempts, I have yet to identify the root cause.

Initially, I noticed that the error codes were primarily associated with memory or driver issues. In response, I made sure to update all my drivers, but this effort yielded no change. In a bid to troubleshoot further, I returned my memory module to G.SKILL, and they generously sent me a replacement. Regrettably, the issue continues to rear its ugly head.

Here are some of the various error codes I have encountered throughout this ordeal:

  • Unhandled Exception in Handheld Service
  • Memory Management Error
  • Attempted Write to Read-Only Memory
  • IRQL Not Less or Equal
  • KMODE Exception Not Handled
  • Kernel Security Check Failure
  • Faulty Hardware Corrupted Page
  • Internal Memory Management Video Error

In an attempt to resolve the issue once and for all, I have even gone as far as reinstalling Windows nearly ten times, which has been both time-consuming and disheartening.

For those interested in the specifics of my setup, here are the key components:

  • Motherboard: TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS
  • Processor: Intel Core i9 12900KS
  • RAM: G.Skill Trident Z DDR5, 32GB 6400
  • Graphics Card: RTX 3090 Founders Edition

At this point, Iโ€™ve exhausted many troubleshooting methods, and I find myself feeling quite desperate for a solution. If anyone in the community has experienced similar issues or has any insights on how to tackle these pesky blue screens, I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to any suggestions you might have!

  1. Hi,

Sorry to hear about your persistent blue screen issues. Based on the error codes you’ve described, it seems like the problem might be related to hardware stability or driver conflicts. Here are some steps you can try to further diagnose and resolve the issue:

    • Run Memory Diagnostics: Use Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool or MemTest86 to thoroughly check your RAM stability. Even if the RAM has been replaced, faulty or incompatible memory can cause these errors.
    • Update or Roll Back Drivers: Ensure all device drivers are up to date, especially chipset and graphics drivers. Alternatively, try rolling back to previous driver versions if the issue appeared after a recent update.
    • Check for BIOS/UEFI Updates: Visit your motherboard manufacturer’s website to see if there are any BIOS updates that improve hardware compatibility or stability.
    • Test Hardware Components: Utilize hardware diagnostic tools to test your CPU, motherboard, and GPU for potential faults. Stress testing tools like Prime95 (CPU), OCCT (GPU and Power Supply), or FurMark can help identify stability issues.
    • Review Event Viewer Logs: Look into Windows Event Viewer for detailed error logs around the time of the blue screens. This can give clues about underlying hardware or driver issues.
    • Check for Overheating: Monitor your system
