Version 114: The young applicant who sought internship interview tips ended up receiving the offer letter.

Exciting News: My First Internship Contract in Cybersecurity!

I’m thrilled to share some fantastic news that stems from a recent query I posted in the r/cybersecurity community. I have successfully secured my very first internship contract!

Thanks to the invaluable advice and encouragement from the wonderful members of the cybersecurity subreddit, I am moving forward with an opportunity that I couldn’t be more excited about. As soon as my summer break begins in about three weeks, I will be signing both the internship contract and a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). I will be collaborating on a web application project alongside a fellow intern focusing on quality assurance.

This internship will span three months, and if I demonstrate strong skills and dedication during that time, I may even be offered a part-time contract with compensation!

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took the time to respond to my initial request for advice. Your support means the world to me!

Update: I appreciate all the congratulatory messages and kind words, and the awards I received are just the cherry on top! Thank you all for making this journey even more special. <3

Your support has not only helped me land this opportunity but has also motivated me to strive for excellence in this field. Here’s to new beginnings and exciting challenges ahead!

  1. Congratulations on securing your internship! That’s a fantastic achievement, and it’s great to see your enthusiasm and dedication. If you’re working on this project or similar ones, I recommend keeping your development environment organized and regularly backing up your work. Additionally, ensure that your web application complies with cybersecurity best practices, especially since you’re collaborating on a web app. Remember to review the NDA carefully to understand your confidentiality commitments. If you need assistance with any technical issues related to your internship or web development, feel free to ask. Good luck, and keep up the excellent work!
