Exciting News: I Secured My First Internship in Cybersecurity!
I am thrilled to share some fantastic news with you all—I’ve landed my first internship role! A few weeks back, I reached out to the r/cybersecurity community for advice on preparing for internship interviews, and thanks to the invaluable insights I received, I now have a contract in hand.
As I prepare to kick off my summer holiday in about three weeks, I will be signing both the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and the internship contract. During the next three months, I will collaborate on a web application project alongside a QA intern. This is an incredible opportunity for me to gain hands-on experience in the field.
If I demonstrate my skills and bring value to the team, there’s potential for a part-time paid position following the internship.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to my initial post. Your encouragement and support mean the world to me!
Edit: I appreciate all the congratulatory messages and awards—thank you for the love! <3
Stay tuned for updates on my journey in the world of cybersecurity!

Congratulations on Securing Your Internship!
That’s fantastic news! Landing your first internship in cybersecurity is a significant achievement. Remember to thoroughly review and understand the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and any contractual obligations before signing. It’s also a good idea to keep copies of all signed documents for your records.
Since you’ll be working on a web application project, consider familiarizing yourself with common web security practices, such as secure coding standards, penetration testing basics, and vulnerability assessments. This knowledge will help you bring valuable insights to your team and make a strong impression.
If you’re working with a QA intern, effective communication and collaboration skills are essential. Make sure to ask questions, seek feedback, and document your work to maximize your learning experience.
If you need any guidance on cybersecurity best practices, tools, or resources during your internship, feel free to reach out. Wishing you the best of luck and a rewarding summer experience!
